This was my first ever sighting.

According to the experts, these are not uncommon,

but as they are very secretive, they can be very difficult to find.

As you can see, he (or she) is hiding beneath the leaves,

and then after a little patience, came into the open very briefly

 NOTE: I found the Sage Thrasher and the Curve Billed Thrasher

in the same brush pile, at the same time.
